Why Renaissance?
Because...
The word "Renaissance" means "rebirth." In our foundational Scripture, John 3:3, Jesus said to Nicodemus, a member of the ruling Jewish council, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born again." According to this Scripture, we believe that the new life (rebirth) that is described by Jesus in the following verses (most notably 3:3-8) is essential to one's salvation and eternal fellowship with God. This famous Bible chapter goes on to describe that God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world that all who believe in Him (His death, burial, and resurrection on the third day) would never perish but have eternal life.
The "Renaissance Movement" is more popularly known as a revival of art, literature, and architechure beginning with the 14th through the 17th centuries in Europe. While this is not the main focus of our usage of the term, it is still applicable in the sense that Renaissance Movement Music is focused on producing Kingdom quality artists whose music reaches people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and whose love for God overshadows any talent of gift they have. Our artists not only exemplify the rebirth described by Jesus in John 3:3, but are adamently focused on uplifting and preaching Christ through music to encouage our listenerers into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ.
Music is great, but God is better. He loves us as His children, and we cannot help but spread that in all we do. We are here to Edify the Found, Reach the Lost, and Glorify the King. We are Renaissance Movement Music.
